MEETO is a real-time 1-on-1 random video chat mobile application that connects people from around the world. This Privacy Policy explains what Meeto Team ("MEETO," "we," "our," or "us") does with the Personal Information (as defined herein) that you provide to us, and the data we collect automatically when you access our App and use our Service.

By downloading, installing, or using MEETO, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, which together govern your use of our Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Section 01

Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to Personal Information collected by MEETO through the MEETO mobile application ("App") and the services made available through it ("Service"). It does not apply to the practices of third parties that MEETO does not own or control, including third-party services you may access through the App or individuals that MEETO does not employ or manage.

Our Service integrates with third-party platforms and service providers — including Google Firebase, CAS.ai, and Google Play Billing — each of which operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies independently. By using our Service, you acknowledge your awareness of these third-party practices.

Section 02

Age Restriction

MEETO is strictly intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. Users who do not meet this requirement are automatically blocked during onboarding and cannot access the Service.

During the account creation process, all users are required to provide their date of birth. We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user under the age of 18 has accessed our Service, we will immediately terminate that account and delete all associated data.

Section 03

Play Age Signals API — Age Verification

The age signal from Google Play is used only at onboarding and is never stored, logged, or retained.

MEETO integrates with the Google Play Age Signals API, a Google Play platform feature that provides an age-verification signal to help us enforce our 18+ eligibility requirement during account creation.

How We Use the Age Signal

  • The age signal is checked once during the onboarding process
  • If the signal indicates the user is under 18, access to the Service is denied immediately
  • The signal is used solely to confirm age eligibility — it is not used for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose
  • The signal value is not stored, logged, or retained on any server after the verification step completes

This integration operates in compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and enhances our existing date-of-birth verification to provide a more robust age gate at the point of onboarding.

Section 04

Account System — Guest-Based Authentication

MEETO operates on a guest-based account system. No email address, phone number, or password is required to create or access an account. When you complete onboarding, an account is automatically created and linked to your device through Firebase Authentication. Each time you reopen the App, you are recognized automatically — no manual login is required.

Important — Please read the following scenarios:

•  If you close and reopen the App, your account is automatically restored.

•  If you uninstall and reinstall the App without first deleting your account, your previous account is automatically deleted and a new guest account is created upon reinstall. Your previous profile, messages, and images will not be recoverable.

•  If you delete your account through Settings before uninstalling, your data is permanently removed as described in Section 12.

•  Your Account ID is displayed in Settings  →  Account ID. You will need this ID if you contact us to request data deletion or exercise any privacy right by email.

We recommend that users who wish to remove their data use the in-app Delete Account option in Settings rather than simply uninstalling the App.

Section 05

Information We Collect

There are two primary ways we collect information:

  • Information you provide directly to us during onboarding and use of the Service
  • Information we collect automatically when you use the App

5.1  Information You Provide to Us

Account and Profile Information

When you complete onboarding, you provide the following:

Your display name, gender, and profile photo may be visible to other users of the Service during normal use, including in the Explore People section and during video calls.

User-Generated Content

MEETO enables users to communicate through text chat and image sharing. Content you create includes:

  • Text messages sent to other users through in-app chat
  • Images sent to other users through in-app chat
Please be aware that users you communicate with may save or copy content outside of the App. Do not share content you would not want others to retain or distribute.

Reports and Safety Actions

If you report or block another user, we collect information about that action — including the identity of the reported user and the reason — to investigate potential violations and enforce our Community Guidelines.

MEETO does not request or collect your precise GPS location at any point. Any location inference is approximate and derived solely from your IP address at the country level only.

Subscription Information

We collect your subscription status (active or inactive) as provided by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, process, or store any payment card or financial data. All billing is handled entirely by Google Play — no payment information passes through our servers.

Advertising Data

In connection with in-app advertising served through our CAS.ai integration:

Section 06

Real-Time Video Calls — Privacy Notice

Video and audio call content is never recorded, stored, or accessible to us. All calls are real-time only. When a call ends, no trace of its content remains on any server controlled by MEETO.

The core feature of MEETO — random 1-on-1 video calling — is powered by WebRTC technology via Firebase. All video and audio during a call is streamed in real time directly between users. MEETO does not record, capture, log, or store any call content at any point during or after a session.

We strongly advise users never to share sensitive personal information during video calls. While we prohibit unauthorized recording under our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, we cannot prevent other users from capturing your video using external means. Please exercise caution accordingly.

Section 07

Information We Do Not Collect

In the interest of full transparency, the following categories of information are not collected by MEETO at any stage:

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, improve, and protect our Service:

  • Create and manage your account — establish and maintain your guest-based profile through Firebase Authentication
  • Provide the core Service — enable random video calling, text chat, image sharing, and the Explore People feature
  • Verify your age — enforce our 18+ requirement at the point of account creation using date-of-birth verification and the Play Age Signals API
  • Personalize your experience — apply your gender filter preferences and surface relevant user profiles
  • Enable communication — transmit messages and media between users
  • Maintain platform safety — process user reports, enforce our Community Guidelines, manage blocks, and detect abuse
  • Improve performance — analyze usage patterns, crash reports, and diagnostics through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics
  • Deliver notifications — send service-related alerts via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
  • Serve advertisements — display ads through CAS.ai and its connected partner ad networks
  • Verify subscription status — confirm active subscription through Google Play Billing
  • Comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful governmental requests and enforce our Terms of Use

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your Personal Information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

With Other Users

Certain profile information — including your display name, gender, and profile photo — is visible to other users of the Service as part of normal operation. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and content of your profile at all times.

With Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers that support the operation of our App, strictly to the extent necessary for them to perform services on our behalf:

  • Google Firebase — backend infrastructure, authentication, database, crash reporting, analytics, and push notifications
  • CAS.ai and connected ad networks — in-app advertising delivery and mediation
  • Google Play Billing — subscription and purchase status management

For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if we reasonably believe disclosure is required to:

  • Comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request
  • Investigate, remedy, or enforce potential violations of our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines
  • Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security incidents, or technical issues
  • Protect the rights, property, and safety of MEETO, our users, or the general public

In Connection with a Business Transfer

If MEETO is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or other business transfer, your information may be shared with or transferred to the relevant successor entity, subject to applicable privacy law.

In Aggregate or De-Identified Form

We may share aggregated or de-identified information — which cannot reasonably be used to identify you — with third parties for research, analytical, or advertising purposes.

Section 10

Advertising — CAS SDK

MEETO uses CAS.ai (cas.ai), a third-party advertising mediation platform, to serve advertisements within the App. CAS.ai connects our App to a network of demand-side advertising partners, which may include:

  • Google AdMob
  • ironSource
  • Unity Ads
  • AppLovin
  • Mintegral
  • InMobi
  • Chartboost
  • 150+ additional demand-side platforms (DSPs)

These advertising partners may independently collect and use your Google Advertising ID (GAID) and ad interaction data — including impressions, clicks, and behavioral signals — to deliver interest-based advertisements and for purposes governed by their own privacy policies. MEETO does not sell your Personal Information to these partners.

Opting Out of Interest-Based Advertising: You may reset or limit your Google Advertising ID at any time by navigating to Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device.

Section 11

Data Storage and Infrastructure

Your data is stored and processed using Google Firebase, operated by Google LLC on global cloud infrastructure. By using our Service, you acknowledge that your data may be stored on servers located outside your country of residence.

Section 12

Account Deletion and Data Retention

Deleting Your Account

You may permanently delete your MEETO account at any time through the following steps:

Settings  →  Delete Account  →  Review the deletion notice  →  Check confirmation checkbox  →  Confirm

Account deletion on MEETO is permanent and irreversible. Because MEETO operates on a guest-based system with no email or password, there is no mechanism to recover a deleted account. Once deletion is confirmed, you cannot retrieve your profile, chat history, or shared images.

You may also request deletion by emailing us at johnapps.official007@gmail.com or by visiting our Account Deletion page. To process your request, please include your Account ID, which is displayed in Settings  →  Account ID inside the App. Requests submitted without an Account ID may not be actionable, as we have no other mechanism to uniquely identify your account.

Section 13

User Safety — Report and Block

MEETO provides in-app tools to help you protect yourself and others on the platform:

  • Report — You may report any user at any time for behavior that violates our Community Guidelines. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team and may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent bans.
  • Block — You may block any user to prevent them from contacting you or appearing in your matches. Your blocklist is accessible and manageable at any time through Settings → Blocklist.
Section 14

Children's Privacy — COPPA 2026 Compliance

MEETO is strictly 18+. We do not permit use by anyone under 18 and do not knowingly collect Personal Information from minors.

Age Enforcement

Our onboarding process requires all users to provide their date of birth. Users identified as under 18 are automatically denied access. We also use the Play Age Signals API (Section 03) as a supplementary verification layer at account creation.

COPPA 2026 — Data We Do Not Collect

In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), as updated and expanded effective April 22, 2026, we confirm the following:

Google Advertising ID (GAID) — CAS.ai Disclosure

MEETO uses CAS.ai to serve in-app advertisements. CAS.ai and its partner networks access the Google Advertising ID (GAID) for the purpose of delivering contextual and interest-based advertisements to users. The GAID is used solely for ad delivery and is governed by CAS.ai's privacy policy and applicable platform policies.

Because MEETO's 18+ hard block prevents any minors from accessing the Service, GAID collection through CAS.ai is never associated with a user under 18. You may reset or limit your GAID at any time via Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device.

Data Minimization Commitment

We are committed to data minimization. We collect only the Personal Information that is strictly necessary to provide and operate the Service. We do not collect, retain, or share Personal Information beyond what is described in this Privacy Policy. Data that is no longer needed for its stated purpose is deleted in accordance with the retention practices described in Section 12.

If a Minor Bypasses Our Controls

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has circumvented our age verification and accessed our Service, please contact us immediately at johnapps.official007@gmail.com. We will promptly terminate the account and delete all associated data upon verification. For more information, please review our Child Safety Policy.

Section 15

Your Rights — EEA and UK Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) with respect to your Personal Information:

Section 16

US State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states have specific rights regarding their Personal Information under applicable state privacy laws. This section describes those rights and how to exercise them. These rights apply in addition to any rights described in Section 15 (GDPR).

California — CCPA / CPRA

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • Right to Know — Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected, used, disclosed, or sold about you
  • Right to Delete — Request deletion of your Personal Information, subject to certain exceptions
  • Right to Correct — Request correction of inaccurate Personal Information we hold about you
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale / Sharing — We do not sell Personal Information. We do not share Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Right to Limit Sensitive Personal Information — We do not use sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for the Service
  • Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA/CPRA rights

Virginia — VCDPA

Virginia residents have rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA):

  • Right to access, correct, delete, and port your Personal Data
  • Right to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of Personal Data
  • Right to appeal our decisions regarding your privacy rights requests

Colorado — CPA

Colorado residents have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA):

  • Right to access, correct, delete, and port your Personal Data
  • Right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of Personal Data, and profiling in furtherance of significant decisions
  • Right to appeal our decisions on your privacy rights requests

Utah — UCPA

Utah residents have rights under the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA):

  • Right to access and delete your Personal Data
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to opt out of the sale of Personal Data and targeted advertising
How to Exercise Your Rights: To exercise any of these rights, contact us at johnapps.official007@gmail.com. Please include your Account ID (found in Settings → Account ID in the App) so we can identify and process your request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days, with one permitted 45-day extension where necessary).
Section 17

Utah Minor Protection Act — S.B. 194

Effective May 7, 2026 — Utah S.B. 194 (Minor Protection in Social Media Act) imposes additional obligations on online platforms that could be accessed by minors.

MEETO complies with the Utah Minor Protection in Social Media Act (S.B. 194), which took effect on May 7, 2026. Because MEETO enforces a strict 18+ hard block at onboarding — verified through mandatory date-of-birth entry and the Play Age Signals API (Section 03) — no user under 18 years of age is permitted to create an account or access the Service.

Our Compliance Measures

  • 18+ Hard Block — All users must confirm they are 18 or older during onboarding. Users identified as under 18 are denied access immediately and no account is created
  • Play Age Signals API — We use Google Play's age verification signal as a supplementary check at account creation, in addition to user-provided date-of-birth
  • Account Termination — Any account determined to belong to a minor is immediately terminated and all associated data deleted without delay
  • No Data Collection from Minors — We do not knowingly collect, store, or process any Personal Information from anyone under 18 years of age

If you are a parent or guardian who believes your minor child has accessed MEETO, please contact us immediately at johnapps.official007@gmail.com. We will terminate the account and delete associated data promptly upon verification.

Section 18

Louisiana Age Verification — H.B. 142

Effective July 1, 2026 — Louisiana H.B. 142 requires covered online platforms to verify that users are 18 or older before granting access to the Service.

Louisiana H.B. 142, effective July 1, 2026, requires operators of certain online platforms to implement age verification measures for users located in Louisiana. MEETO complies with this requirement as follows:

Our Age Verification Approach

  • Mandatory Date-of-Birth Verification — All users must enter their date of birth during onboarding. Any user who does not meet the 18+ threshold is blocked from creating an account and cannot access the Service
  • Play Age Signals API — We supplement onboarding verification with Google Play's Play Age Signals API, which provides an additional age verification layer based on the user's Google account data
  • Continuous Enforcement — Our 18+ policy is enforced at the point of account creation. Accounts found to belong to users under 18 are terminated immediately

We do not collect or retain any government-issued identification or other sensitive verification documents as part of our age verification process. Verification relies on user-provided date-of-birth information and the Play Age Signals API signal.

Section 19

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include Firebase's built-in security rules and encryption in transit, mandatory age verification at onboarding, and in-app reporting and enforcement tools.

However, no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Service at your own risk, and we encourage you to take appropriate steps to protect your device and account.

Our App integrates with third-party services that operate independently under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these services and encourage you to review them:

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or Service features. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We may also notify you of significant changes through the App.

Your continued use of MEETO following the effective date of any updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed.
